Shareholders company “Tržnica“ is an company that specializes in the market activity. In this form it was founded in 1991. and it is one of the five largest, most developed and infrastructuraly best equipped market administrations. The company today, employs 56 people, cooperates with more than 2000 service users, merchants and local farms. It is also succesful and profitable since its founding.
The main activity of “Tržnica” is based on four markets in Subotica, that are spread on teritory of 81.682 square meters. Those are: commodity market “Mali Bajmok” (Flee market), car and livestock market, and green market of Palić and of Aleksandrovo. Within the commodity market “Mali Bajmok” there is an green market that works as the integral part of this large retail space. The largest market of the four markets is commodity market “Mali Bajmok”, on which every day about 2000 merchants and manufacturers work.
Owner of 70% of the shares of “Tržnica” is the city of Subotica, and the remaining 30% belong to small shareholders, mostly employees and ex employees.
Shareholders company “Tržnica” is one of the founders and active members of Business association “Pijace Srbije”, and it has its representative in the Board of directors of this association and the representative is also the chairperson of the work group that specializes in commodity markets.
